Land Contamination

Increasing the need for land sees more and more sites within built up areas being developed, being brought back into use across brownfield sites. This has led to land contamination becoming more of an area of concern.

Nearly every planning consent that is granted has some form of condition relating to land contamination and we are able to provide expert advice relating to the likelihood of land contamination being a potential problem to the development.

After an initial assessment, usually in the form of a Phase 1 Contaminated Land Assessment, if there is the potential for land contamination, then through our contacts within the area, we can assemble a team who can undertake intrusive testing and a Phase 2 assessment to establish the level and extent of contamination to provide suitable remediation measures where required.
