Matthew Kirkwood

Matthew has been a member of the Special Projects team since the start of 2024 and gained his MEng in Civil and Structural Engineering from the University of Sheffield in 2014.

He has extensive knowledge of both temporary and permanent works, progressing projects through from conception to completion. Matthew has a sound appreciation of the design and implementation of structures and provides designs and category 1, 2 and 3 checks for a variety of temporary works schemes.

He has worked on projects in London, such as the refurbishment of Seymour Leisure Centre and the new development at Westmead, as well as more local projects, including RAF sites in Suffolk and Norfolk.

Matthew spends his free time volunteering at Bressingham Steam Museum, tinkering on classic cars and playing flute/guitar at local jam nights.
