Matthew Herring

Matt joined Canham Consulting in November 2020 within the civil engineering and pre-planning team. He undertook his Masters in Civil Engineering at Durham University, graduating in 2001 and became Chartered with the Institution of Civil Engineers in 2007.

With a breadth of experience across a range of projects working all over the UK, Matt approaches every project with an enthusiasm and curiosity to solve the engineering problems. He leads the team to deliver innovative and technologically driven solutions with an innate understanding of how solutions will be delivered, ultimately ensuring that the design is suited to the need – be that for concept design, planning or through to construction stage.

When not working, Matt enjoys spending time with friends and family; typically with his wife, watching his children from the sidelines/poolside and when time allows, getting out for a run or a game of golf. Beyond that, he is on a never-ending quest to knead the perfect pizza crust...
