Kalle Shearer
Undergraduate Engineer
Kalle joined Canham Consulting in July 2023 as a Civil Engineering Degree Apprentice. He will be moving through the different teams to gain a broad understanding of our profession whilst also undertaking a Civil Engineering Degree Apprenticeship at Nottingham Trent University. Kalle has been awarded two engineering scholarships: the Arkwright Engineering Scholarship during sixth form and the Institute of Civil Engineers QUEST Technician Scholarship more recently in January 2025.
Prior to his studies, Kalle worked for a small local builder, renovating and restoring old buildings in and around North Norfolk. Many of these were listed and/or utilised traditional construction methods such as lime and flint. From this, Kalle has gained a strong knowledge of historical and current building techniques and plenty of hands-on experience to apply to his designs.
Outside of work, Kalle is a member of Norfolk Young Farmers and spends time building and flying scale model airplanes.
