Introduction

The purchase of property is one of the largest investments some of us may make in a lifetime. How can we be sure the property being purchased reflects its sale price, with no hidden problems, such as subsidence, dry rot or other defect which may be costly or affect future saleability.

Although many properties will not carry a readily available detailed documented history, an independent survey will go a long way to informing you of the condition of the property in which you are investing.

With over 30 years of experience in reporting and vernacular knowledge, Canham Consulting are committed to provide a fast and efficient service by using only experienced Chartered Engineers and Chartered Building Surveyors.

All properties vary in size, age and construction which is why Canham Consulting offer a variety of surveys, ranging in scope, limitations and composition.

TYPE OF REPORT Limited report commenting on one or two specific defects or damage. A report on structural elements only. A detailed and comprehensive report that can be tailored to suit your needs.
REASON FOR REPORT To advise on specific defects noted in other reports or valuations and/or concerns raised on specific items by prospective purchaser or vendor. To comment on the structural elements only on the property and to highlight faults with these elements and advise on the repairs needed. To help answer questions on intentions to alter, renovate or extend a property from a structural aspect only.
