Domestic Properties

We offer a variety of services to owners of residential properties, developers and building contractors. Including design and detailing of all structural elements within a building fabric, investigations into foundation types and liaison with Local Authority or Building Control to obtain statutory approvals.

Structural Engineers Report

You will need this if you have been advised of a possible structural defect following a Valuation Survey undertaken during the course of mortgaging a property.

Alternatively, you may require a report on a particular structural problem that has become of concern.

The inspection is carried out by a Chartered Engineer who will provide a report based on a visual examination of the building fabric for evidence of structural problems. The problem will be discussed and the likely cause identified. Recommendations will be put forward for either remedial work or further investigations. Some of the items such a report would cover include:-

Subsidence
Cracking
Roof problems
Movement
Settlement
Bulging walls
Underpinning
Tie bars
Strengthening

Alternatively you may require a more in-depth "peace of mind" survey in which case a survey undertaken by one of our Building Surveyors would be more appropriate.

In addition to the examples above, we consider ourselves adept at challenging projects, and would welcome new and innovative schemes for us to test our skills! Should any of our services be of interest, please contact us via any of the methods available on our Contact Us page.
