Our engineers have a total of 40 years experience in the private and public sector of flood risk and maintain an excellent relationship with the Environmental, especially in East Anglia.
All developments, regardless of size, require a Flood Risk Assessment (FRA) in support of planning, if they fall within Flood Zones 2, 3a or 3b, as shown on the flood risk maps at www.environment-agency.gov.uk
In addition, under current UK planning legislation, all developments over one hectare in size (2.47 acres) require a Flood Risk Assessment (FRA) in support of planning application. These types of FRA within Flood Zone 1, typically require detailed knowledge of Sustainable Drainage Solutions (SUDs). Canham Consulting, supported by state-of-the-art hydraulic analysis software can assess and determine the most suitable SUDs for any development.
