In addition to the 2D CAD services we provide at Canham Consulting, we can also offer our 3D modelling facility, using "Tekla Structures" software.

Tekla Structures is unique in that it integrates within one model the whole of the structural design building process from conceptual design through fabrication to erection.

Various different configurations of the software allow the entire design and construction team to share the same Structural Building Information Model meaning the need to communicate through two dimensional drawings is diminished considerably.

Models of any complexity can be tackled with the software, encompassing structural and architectural steel, concrete, timber, cladding, glazing etc. The model is then used to create automatically the General Arrangement drawings, materials lists and further down the line manufacturing drawings and information. When the modelling is not being done in Tekla Structures, for example with the HVAC and electrical, then the software allows communication of all the discplines involved with a project through its extensive collaborative tools.
